Where the War was Won: The American Revolution Southern Campaign

Join us in looking into the founding of America and the costs and sacrifices it took to separate from the most powerful empire in the world at that time. After exploring the causes, the Christian justifiability of the War, the amazing contribution of pastors and laymen, and discussing the all-important Southern Campaign we will jump into the middle of The American War for Independence in 1781 picking up the story on the ground at The Battle of Guilford Courthouse. We will then move on to Colonial Williamsburg where will study the incubator of liberty with its critical players and, lastly, finishing at the final battle of Yorktown where the surrender took place.

We will introduce you to some marvelous well-known men like George Washington and Patrick Henry but also some lesser known ones such as “Light Horse” Harry Lee (father of Robert E. Lee), Andrew Pickens, David Caldwell, Dan Morgan, William Lee Davidson, Alexander Craighead, Nathanael Greene, and Thomas Nelson.

As with all Lead with Character alumni trips, the material is designed to reinforce and build upon the precepts presented in the core course (Gettysburg) which explores biblical manhood, organizational leadership and maximizing the significant influence of a man. Like all trips, future men will receive encouragement and instruction on their level.

The trip will depart Thursday morning, November 1st from Charlotte with a pick up in Winston Salem, NC.
